In case you haven't heard, sex education in the U.S. is in dire straits. A report by Sex Ed for Social Change points out that 749 new bills touching on sex ed, LGBTQ and reproductive rights, and gender affirming-care have been introduced this year — with 65 percent aiming to restrict these rights.

Nothing will replace comprehensive sex education — evidence-based, age-appropriate, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ-affirming teaching for young people. In the absence of that, however, there are other resources folks can lean on. NSFW education sites are available to pick up the slack, including Beducated, which just launched its AI Sex Coach.

Beducated's AI Sex Coach provides advice from the site's library of 100+ online sex courses, on topics ranging from cunnilingus to rope play. If you aren't subscribed to Beducated, you can send the chatbot up to 10 messages a day for free; there's also a 24-hour free trial. AI Sex Coach is free for Beducated members (subscriptions start at $29.99/month).

When you open up the chatbot, you'll see a message encouraging you to ask it anything you want to know and learn about your intimate life, with a caveat that it's experimental and not medical advice. There are even some questions to get you started, like, "How can I have more kinky sex?" and "How can I reach an orgasm?"

Mashable tested out AI Sex Coach, and found that it provides solid nuggets of information — and then directs you to a Beducated course. This makes sense considering the platform made it, and serves as a reminder that chatbots can't replace quality education.

"The latest trend of global restrictions tightening on sex ed are upon us, and are determined to fight back," said Beducated co-founder/CEO Mariah Freya in the press release. "Beducated AI Sex Coach emerges as a beacon of hope, offering an expert-backed resource for learning about sexual health."

Beducated doesn't just teach safety, Freya went on; it champions pleasure and empowerment in the face of adversity. As the sex coach was trained on Beducated's courses, it'll provide pleasure-affirming help.
