While he's been with the New York Jets for a short amount of time, quarterback Aaron Rodger sees great things in two of his new teammates.

The New York Jets needed a quarterback to help them make a return to the playoffs for the first time since 2010. They found out that Aaron Rodgers was interested in playing for them, and after lengthy negotiations, they were able to finalize a trade with the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers has been with the Jets for over a month, and he looks happy to be with his new team. Even in the short amount of time, he's been with the team, he sees greatness in two players in particular.

During organized team activities this past week, Rodgers expressed his belief that cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson can be the best players at their position in the coming years.

"We've got, at some point possibly, the best corner and the best receiver in the NFL," Rodgers said, h/t the New York Post. "It's a legit possibility for those two guys. Maybe not this upcoming year — I still think Davante [Adams] is in a league of his own — but those two kids are so talented."

Aaron Rodgers believes Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson can become the best CB and WR in NFL

Gardner and Wilson were both first-round picks by the Jets in 2022, and both made gigantic impacts on the team. After all, they won the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year awards, solidifying the Jets' 2022 draft class as one of the best among all 32 teams.

Playing for Cincinnati, Gardner was hyped as a true shutdown corner, one the Jets haven't had since Darrelle Revis. In his first year, Gardner recorded 75 combined tackles (51 solo, 24 assisted), a league-high 20 passes defended, and two interceptions. In coverage, Gardner allowed 46 completions for 452 yards and one touchdown on 86 targets, per Pro Football Reference.

Wilson was one of the top wide receivers at Ohio State. In his first year, he became the team's top receiver on the roster. Through 17 games, Wilson caught 83 passes for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns on 147 targets.

With such promise in their first years, now Jets fans want to see if they can be even better. Wilson will now have a much better option throwing him the football in Rodgers, who is a four-time NFL MVP. As for Gardner, practicing against Rodgers will certainly help.

Make no mistake about it, this is a big year for the Jets, who have much higher expectations entering a season than usual.
