Seth Meyers said that Donald Trump's 'one-sentence answer wasn't even one of his good lies'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Seth Meyers, the host of a popular late-night talk show, recently delivered a scorching monologue centered on Donald Trump's day in court. This has sparked a wildfire on the internet, with users referring to it as an "absolute flame bath."

Reports have emerged that ex-President Donald Trump made a sudden exit from a courtroom following a judge's refusal to dismiss a civil fraud lawsuit against him. This unforeseen departure took place amid the cross-examination of his previous attorney, Michael Cohen.

Trump had just been slapped with a $10,000 fine for breaching a gag order. His abrupt leave reportedly took his Secret Service agents by surprise.

Upon exiting the courtroom, Trump addressed the media, stating, "The witness just admitted that we won the trial. And the judge should end this trial immediately", per PEOPLE.

Unquestionably, this incident has raised the stakes in the ongoing legal drama, and Meyers gave a scathing monologue on Trump's day in court during the episode on Thursday, October 26.

Seth Meyers about Donald Trump's tense day in court

Meyers, during his monologue, reported that Trump made a hasty exit from a Manhattan courtroom when he was summoned to the witness stand and chastised by a judge for breaching a gag order.

The host further stated that despite Trump's legal troubles, the Republican Party’s unwavering loyalty to him remains unshaken. This is demonstrated by their recent selection of Mike Johnson, a staunch right-wing advocate who played a key role in Trump's efforts to overturn the election results, as their speaker.

"So Trump was ordered to take the stand and explain himself, and then the judge said, 'I don't believe you,' and reprimanded him," said Meyers. "I can only imagine what that looked like. He was probably like a middle schooler who refuses to look his parent in the eye after cursing them out."

"What did you just say?' 'Nothing.' 'Tell me what you said.' 'I said f**k you.' Look at me when you say it.' 'I said f**k you, okay? It's not a curse word. I was talking about my favorite band, the Foo Fighters. I was reading and I just picked that up."

Meyers then showed an "amazing" courtroom sketch of the judge and Trump in the show and said, "Even in a courtroom sketch, Trump is making a face like he just realized he's in trouble -- mouth slightly open, looking at the judge like, Uh."

He added, "Also, whoever drew this did Trump some huge favors because this looks like a "New Yorker" cartoon, where in reality he's much more of a 'Cathy.' And then, like a pissy teenager."

After that, Mayers jumped to a TV clip showing the embattled former president leaving the courtroom quickly and leaving Secret Service officials to "chase after him."

"Okay, 'chase' seems like a strong word," said Meyers. "They chased him the way you chased your pet turtle in the yard. 'He's going that way.'" "I'm sure Secret Service didn't have to run too hard."

The host continued, "They probably saw him take off and said, 'He's on the move. Should we finish this game of Monopoly and then go catch up?' 'But we haven't even started.' 'We'll be fine.' "We're talking about a guy who moves slower than a zombie after a giant bong rip. -[In Trump's tone] "You know what's a funny word? Brains."

Meyers said that Trump's "one-sentence answer wasn't even one of his good lies." He said, "You know there are transcripts right? That lady isn't writing in her diary."

"Trump having to take the stand and actually talk to the judge clearly spun him out," added Meyers. [in Trump's tone] "The witness said we won, and the judge agreed and apologized for the whole deal. And I'm so *****, you guys. I'm so *****. They made me sit next to the judge. That can't be good, right?"
