Josh Sargent and Antonee Robinson were among the standout performers on Saturday as English Premier League and EFL Championship action pushed forward this summer.

The 2023/24 English football season fully got underway this weekend and several USMNT international excelled up and down the country.

Josh Sargent led the way for Norwich City, scoring the opening goal and also assisting another as the Canaries held on for a 4-4 draw at Southampton. The USMNT forward led the line in David Wagner's squad and walked away with a Man of the Match award for his showing at St. Mary's Stadium.

Sargent needed just seven minutes to break the deadlock on the South Coast before also assisting Gabriel Sara in the 23rd minute for Norwich's second goal. Although Southampton's 97th minute equalizer from Adam Armstrong ended the Canaries' hopes of three points, Sargent impressed.

Antonee Robinson and Tim Ream both played 90 minutes apiece for Fulham on Saturday in a 1-0 road victory over Everton at Goodison Park. Ream made his first club appearance since late-April after recovering from a broken arm.

Haji Wright celebrated his first goalscoring performance from English second-tier club Coventry City in Saturday's 3-0 home triumph over Middlesbrough. Wright, the club record signing from Turkish side Antalyaspor, came off the bench in the 66th minute and put Coventry up 2-0 just four minutes later. Wright was in the right place at the right time, stroking home in the box from a corner kick.
