PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: 'America's Got Talent' Season 18 viewers can't seem to get enough of the show-stopping acts from the first day of the auditions. The stirring talent competition has already returned with a new set of aspiring performers vying for a spot in the show and a whopping prize of $1 million.
The judges, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara, are provided one chance each to use their Golden Buzzer during the auditions, which automatically advances an act to the live shows held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Zoe Erianna, aged 6, is one such aspiring contestant who is among the hopefuls to win the hearts of the judges and the live audience.
Who is Zoe Erianna?
Erianna is a six-year-old from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. She is a multitalented young contestant who plays the piano, sings, and writes her own music. Erianna's website suggests that she was interested in music and entertainment when she was just one year old. Her parents supposedly noticed that she had the perfect pitch as a two-year-old. Hence, she started to sing at a very young age and even expressed the desire to be on stage.
Erianna began by filming singing videos for her Church's online service with help from her family during the pandemic when she was just three years old. Her family shared the videos online, and they got appreciated by her social media followers. Meanwhile, she started taking piano lessons from her music teacher Akira Ikegami, and her first performance on stage was when she was four years old.
Erianna has since composed original instrumental songs like 'Butterfly in a Beautiful Garden', and lyrical songs like 'All We Need Is Love', released on Amazon Music and Spotify. Interestingly, singer-songwriter Charlie Puth commented 'Wow!!' on one of Erianna's pitch demonstration videos. The six-year-old has also amassed a significant following on TikTok and Instagram through her talented performances.
'Modern-day Shirley Temple'
'America's Got Talent' kicked off its Season 18 with a two-hour premiere that featured a dancer in an inflatable dinosaur costume, a shadow puppeteer, and the Mzansi Youth Choir, who received the coveted 'Golden Buzzer' and got sent straight to live performances. However, in one of the latest episodes, the six-year-old singer-songwriter from Drexel Hill will show off her impressive singing skills. Erianna, whose family calls her a 'modern-day Shirley Temple', will perform in front of the judges in the hope to advance to the next round. Notably, Erianna was rejected for the first time for an audition for 'AGT' but is now ready to try again.
'America’s Got Talent' Season 18 airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC.
