In his perspective, he contended that they have appropriated the title of "artist," and, in his view, may not be authentic artists because of the extensive support they receive.

In the tweet, Tate expressed his sentiments, stating, "I don’t like how they’ve hijacked the word 'artist' to mean random idiot who takes drugs and repeats words that were written for them over a beat that was produced for them."
