It's year-end wrap-up time, and Apple is kicking off the season by releasing Apple Music Replay, which gives subscribers to its music-streaming service a rundown of their 2023 listening habits.

Replay is once again a web-only experience. You'll see a banner for it in the Apple Music app, but clicking on it takes you to replay.music.apple.com. Log in with your Apple ID to see a story-like journey through your year in music.

Like last year, Apple Music Replay shows your top artists, albums, and songs of the year. New for 2023 is a milestones slide which highlights how many different artists and songs you listened to, when you achieved the milestones, and when you crossed certain listening thresholds, like 10,000 minutes of jamming out.

In addition, you can add your 2023 Replay playlist to Apple Music to relive the music you listened to most this year, ranked in order of how many times you played a song.

Some of the other changes from last year include a darker color palette and new animations. Slides are also shareable on social media for the first time, according to MacRumors. It's not a bad experience, but it is a bit odd that Replay is still a web-based experience rather than an in-app experience like you get with Spotify Wrapped and YouTube's Music Recap.

Spotify Wrapped usually generates the most headlines when it comes to music-service roundups. Last year it launched on Nov. 30, so except to see it light up social media later this week.

For those who were more into reading than listening to music or podcasts this year, Apple today launched a Year in Review for Apple Books, which offers an in-app rundown of the total time spent reading, the longest book or audiobook you read, the series you completed, your most-read author, and genre, and your highest-rated book. On the iPhone or iPad, tap the Read Now tab under Top Picks. It'll show up as long as you read at least three books.
