GORDON, GEORGIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' is returning with a new episode filled with intense drama after a week of hiatus. The upcoming episode of the WEtv stirs up the drama between sisters Alana Thompson aka Honey Boo Boo and Lauryn Efird aka Pumpkin.
In the latest preview of 'Mama June: Family Crisis', Honey Boo Boo asked her sister Pumpkin for $1,000 to buy a new wig for her senior portraits. However, Pumpkin denied Honey Boo Boo's request for the hefty amount and told her to get a job and pay for the wig herself.
Honey Boo Boo demands expensive wig
Honey Boo Boo is living with her sister Pumpkin after her mother Mama June failed to earn custody. However, in the new episode of 'Mama June: Family Crisis', Honey Boo Boo said she wanted a new wig to make her hair long for her senior photos. The TLC show star added that she also needed to pay for it to be installed. Honey Boo Boo then said the wig would cost around $1,000, to which Pumpkin replied, "Alana that's our house payment."
Pumpkin then mocked Honey Boo Boo's desire for expensive things, such as a car. However, Honey Boo Boo explained, "I'm a senior. A car can come later. Senior pictures will never come back around," adding, "I need the wig." Pumpkin then commented on Honey Boo Boo's upbringing and noted that she was always given shiny, new things.
However, Pumpkin explained that she would only pay for Honey Boo Boo's photos and outfits. As an older sister, Pumpkin suggested Honey Boo Boo pay for the hairpiece on her own. Pumpkin said Honey Boo Boo could use her internet fame and high Instagram follower count to her advantage by doing a sponsored post for a wig company. She further advised Honey Boo Boo to get a part-time job and pay for the wig herself. Pumpkin noted, "Sometimes Alana, we don't always get what we want."
Are Pumpkin and Josh having financial woes?
Mama June's daughter Pumpkin has recently admitted on social media to facing major money woes despite receiving a hefty paycheck for her reality show. In March 2023, Pumpkin admitted that she was facing money problems. The reality star also confessed that she's currently behind on her car payments to the point that her car was nearly repossessed earlier this week.
Notably, Pumpkin didn't directly ask for money but she did include her Venmo, Paypal, and Cash App usernames in the clip. By the end of the live video, Pumpkin garnered around $1,000 from her fans. Besides money, Pumpkin shared with her supporters that they could send her things like formula and diapers for her children. Pumpkin claimed that she was struggling to afford those kinds of essentials. Pumpkin also mentioned in the video that Josh is working on different things at the moment.
New episodes of 'Mama June: Family Crisis' premiere on Fridays at 9/8 pm ET/PT on WEtv.
