Brayden Bowers was slammed online after he told his fellow contestants, 'I wish she (Charity Lawson) could stop being the Bachelorette for one minute'

WASHINGTON, DC: Brayden Bowers has been displaying red flags on 'The Bachelorette' Season 20 since the premiere night, but viewers think Charity Lawson has been ignoring them because she is so infatuated with him. During the most recent episode, which aired on July 17, 2023, Bachelor Nation dubbed him "angry Karen" when the suitor stated that he would want the lead to "stop being the bachelorette for one minute'.

Brayden, a 24-year-old travel nurse from San Diego, California, has been at the center of the season's drama since its beginning. Several men have warned Charity about him, including her own brother Nehemiah. She does, however, continue to bestow prized honors on him, such as her first impression rose and a one-on-one date. But with his latest confessions on the show, his villainous persona in Bachelor Nation is just growing.

'Wish she could stop being the Bachelorette for one minute'

Brayden had to repeatedly justify himself to Charity on 'The Bachelorette' Season 20. Although he isn't one of Bachelor Nation's most heinous villains by any means, there are several aspects about Brayden that raise red flags. Charity has noticed numerous red flags, yet she continues to give him the benefit of the doubt. She might not be able to ignore the warning signs for much longer.

Brayden was troubled by the notion that Charity was dating 24 other guys. Although this is reasonable, he knew what he was getting into when he signed up for 'The Bachelorette'. Brayden feels he is entitled to all of Charity's attention and is surprised and wounded when she selects other individuals for one-on-one dates and group date roses. He even conceded to the other guys that he sounded like "a spoiled brat" but he wanted the first one-on-one date as well as the first impression rose.

Brayden has stated that he is unsure whether he will be able to get engaged by the conclusion of the season because Charity has just finished dating 20 of his buddies. This demonstrates his lack of faith in the Bachelorette process. Although Brayden is correct in pointing out the show's flawed concept, many argue that if he doesn't believe in what it stands for, he shouldn't be on it. During this week's episode, the suitor, in a conversation with his fellow contestants, expressed, "I wish she (Charity) could stop being the Bachelorette for one minute." This has infuriated the Bachelor Nation who then brutally slammed the contestant.

'Brayden is two episodes away from reaching final Karen form'

After hearing Brayden going after Charity yet again, one viewer tweeted, "Brayden is two episodes away from reaching final Karen form." While another person added, "Brayden looks like an angry Karen. I'm just waiting for him to say, "I need to speak to your manager."

One user noted, "Dude, you might have signed up for the wrong show." A fourth user wrote while taking a dig at Brayden, "And we want you to stop dressing like Ms. Darbus from High School Musical, but here we are."

One confused fan also tweeted, "Brayden needs to go…like how are you going to say that The Bachelorette needs to stop being The Bachelorette for one minute???? Like what?"

Another person quipped, "Brayden: *goes through the entire casting process and signs a contract to be on the Bachelorette* Also Brayden: “how can she date other guys that’s classless can she just stop being the Bachelorette for one minute.”

One fan wrote, "Sadly this is….The Bachelorette. The show you are on is The Bachelorette." While one tweeted, "Excuse me?? That’s quite literally the entire point of the show???"

'The Bachelorette' Season 20 premieres new episodes every Monday on ABC at 9 pm ET.
