Barcelona have launched their Nike away kit for the 2023/24 season, with La Blaugrana set to don white shirts which are typically associated with arch-rivals Real Madrid.
The controversial white shirts will be accompanied by blue shorts and red-and-blue hooped socks. The shirt will also feature blue-and-red trim, with the Nike logo and Spotify sponsor coloured blue.
Barca used to wear white away strips throughout the 1970s during the playing days of club legend Johan Cruyff, though have not worn the colour since being dumped out of the 1978/79 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup by Ipswich Town.
It was first reported in 2022 that Barcelona were considering returning to a white away kit, meeting a mixed reception from fans not least due to connotations with Real Madrid.
Barcelona are expected to debut their new away kit in their pre-season friendly with Arsenal on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
Xavi's men take on Mikel Arteta's side in Los Angeles as part of their respective pre-season tours of the US. Barcelona were forced to cancel the first match of their tour against Juventus on Sunday following a virus outbreak in La Blaugrana's squad.
Barça will then face Real Madrid in Dallas and Milan in Las Vegas before returning to Catalonia to face Tottenham Hotspur in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy. This will serve as the first match at their temporary new home at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys while Camp Nou undergoes renovations.
Barcelona kick off their La Liga campaign on 13 August away at Getafe.
