Reports in Spain have claimed that around ten members of the squad have been taken unwell, leading to Barcelona cancelling the friendly.
The focus will now be on their next scheduled friendly, which comes against Premier League side Arsenal on July 27.
Xavi's side also have dates with Real Madrid and AC Milan, while they may need to rearrange this fixture against Juventus as it is part of a pre-season tournament, the Soccer Champions Tour.
There's also the annual Joan Gamper clash to look forward to, with Tottenham Hotspur the opponents for this season's affair.
The game will be played at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, where Barcelona will play all their home games this season while their famous Camp Nou home is redeveloped.
