LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Over the course of four weeks, we have seen ‘Barry’s life turning 360 degrees. He started the season by being behind bars for all the crimes he has committed and completely lost his mind. Then, he became an FBI informant and was taken to another facility. When Hank got to know about it, he sent assassins to kill Barry and our protagonist was able to survive that as well. The entire situation ended with Barry and Sally running away and starting a new life with their son, John. However, the past always catches up and it did when Cousineau came out in public after hiding for eight long years. What does he do? He meets the executive at Warner Bros. and moves ahead with a movie on Barry’s life. Without any guesses, Sally freaks out when she reads about the movie and Barry believes it’s time for Cousineau to die.
Episode 6, titled ‘The Wizard’, is one of the most complex episodes of the season so far because of the multiple storylines. However, the focus is on how Barry’s decision is going to affect him and his family. As soon as Barry (Bill Hader) says that Cousineau needs to die, he starts teaching Sally how to assemble a gun. Sally is scared and tells him that she can’t do this. Barry makes her understand that if Cousineau comes out with this movie, it will be a disaster for them, especially their son. However, Sally (Sarah Goldberg) is convinced that Barry only wants to kill Cousineau because he was responsible for his arrest. Barry insists that he is doing all this just to protect their son, but Sally makes it clear that killing is against their “new” religious beliefs.

Sally confronts Barry about killing Cousineau
Barry doesn’t listen to Sally and leaves for Los Angeles. Sally is now living with John and taking care of him. But soon she realizes that it’s really hard to take care of a boy like John, who is depressed because of Barry’s absence. Sally wants John to go to sleep and does something about that. She mixes some alcohol with juice to help John fall asleep. Sally also takes advantage of the situation and takes a nap. But she didn’t know what was coming. When she wakes up, she sees that her house has been nearly destroyed by an intruder. She scares him away with the help of a gun that Barry left behind. Sally is freaking out after the incident and calls Barry and asks him to come right away. However, the call straightaway goes to voicemail.
Elsewhere, Barry is listening to a religious podcast and deliberating if he should or should not kill Cousineau. After a long journey, he has finally reached Cousineau’s house and as soon as he enters the house, he is knocked out before he could even talk to his former teacher. It turns out Jim Moss was already waiting for him there and Barry just walked straight into his trap.
