Not to brag or anything, but yesterday we went a nice 2-0 on No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning bets by fading the Boston Red Sox offense and by trusting the Washington Nationals to get out to an early lead against the Seattle Mariners. There's no better way to start a day of betting baseball than by nailing two first inning bets to help out the bankroll.

Let's do it again tonight and make it back-to-back perfect days in first inning over/under bets. Here are my NRFI and YRFI plays.

Best NRFI bet today

Miami Marlins vs. Boston Red Sox -108

We're going back to the well with this one today. The Red Sox have been putrid at the plate with the second worst OPS in baseball over the past week. Their best two hitters against lefties, Adam Duvall and Justin Turner and ice cold over that stretch and they won't have much of a chance against Jesus Luzardo for Miami unless something changes quickly.

Luzardo is a good pitcher to back for an NRFI regardless of opponent. The Marlins are 29th in first inning runs scored and Luzardo is first in the MLB in first inning ERA at 0.56. He's only given up one earned run in 16 first innings pitched.

Best YRFI bet today

Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels -132

The best pitcher in terms of first inning ERA is on the mound at Fenway Park, but the worst is also taking the hill today.

The White Sox are in Anaheim for the final game of their series with the Angels and they're reluctantly sending Lance Lynn to the mound again. He's bad in any inning with his 6.40 ERA for the season, but his first inning mark of 10.69 is by far the worst in baseball. Let's fade Lynn against Ohtani's Angels.
