A new patch has been released for V Rising which includes several noticeable tweaks alongside a set of stability improvements.

The minor patch dropped earlier today, Monday, May 30, and had its notes published via Steam. It primarily addresses a few stability and cohesion issues within the game while streamlining the user experience by moving some options around. One particular change from this patch has some players scratching their heads, however.

Here's what you need to know about the recent V Rising Patch and what it's done to the stairs.

V Rising Patch Notes 0.5.41591 Explained

We've lifted the full patch notes directly from the V Rising post on the game's Steam news page:

  • Added Texture Quality to Graphics Options, which can greatly reduce texture memory usage.
  • Added FPS Limit Option to Advanced Graphics Options.
  • Changed Low Quality Atmosphere to High Quality Atmosphere to keep the options menu consistent.
  • Fixed a bug where the antialiasing option could not be set to anything other than TAA from the main menu.
  • Stairs have been added to the Castle Floors Tab in the Build Menu to make it easier for players to find them.
  • Fixed missing meshes on particular world objects.
  • Fixed an issue that caused performance drops when hitting Night Marshal Styx the Sunderer with specific abilities (ex. Mirror Strike).

Clearly, the largest change is the movement of stairs in the Build Menu. Players who want to bridge some steppes or add a second floor to their castle will now be able to find stairs in the "Castle Floors" tab within the menu. This can be found by prompting the Build Menu with "B" and swapping to the "Castle Floors" tab.

Other important tweaks include added options to texture quality, atmosphere quality consistency, performance improvements when battling Night Marshal Styx, and several mesh fixes.

V Rising is currently available in Early Access on Steam.
