Charlie Brooker said that the ChatGPT was of some use and that he knows ‘what not to do’ in future episodes of 'Black Mirror'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charlie Brooker, the successful maker of the ‘Black Mirror’ series shared that she tried Artificial Intelligence for writing one of the episodes. She tried ChatGPT for her tech-driven anthology series. “I’ve toyed around with ChatGPT a bit. The first thing I did was type 'generate 'Black Mirror' episode' and it comes up with something that, at first glance, reads plausibly, but on second glance, is s---.” The celebrated creator was not impressed with the chatbot and found the work ‘sort of mush them together.’ “Then if you dig a bit more deeply you go, 'Oh, there’s not actually any real original thought here,’” Brooker said.

But the 52-year-old did find the ChatGPT of some use, now he knows ‘what not to do’ in future episodes. The AI-generated script rang a bell, giving him some clarity that the many episodes of the series have included a character. “Oh, I was inside a computer the whole time!” "So I thought, 'I’m just going to chuck out any sense of what I think a 'Black Mirror' episode is.’ There’s no point in having an anthology show if you can’t break your own rules,” Brooker said. "Just a sort of nice, cold glass of water in the face."

'Star-studded cast!'

After a gap of four years, the sixth season will be introduced in a couple of weeks. The incredible cast includes Josh Hartnett, Kate Mara, Aaron Paul, Annie Murphy, Ben Barnes, Himesh Patel, Michael Cera, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek, Zazie Beetz, and Pinault.

The five-time Emmy Award winner earlier said in an interview, “I’ve always felt that 'Black Mirror' should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people (and myself), or else what’s the point? It should be a series that can’t be easily defined and can keep reinventing itself. So partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for both me and the viewer, I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect.”

'Crazy swings and more variety than ever before'

Brooker said, “This time, alongside some of the more familiar 'Black Mirror' tropes we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do, to stretch the parameters of what a 'Black Mirror' episode even is.” "The stories are all still totally 'Black Mirror' through-and-through – but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before,” he concluded as per People.
