Bloober Team, the company behind Silent Hill 2 Remake's development, asked fans for patience regarding the game and upcoming announcements.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is one of the most anticipated video games coming, though there hasn't been much word regarding the release following last year's Silent Hill event.

Bloober Team is developing the survival horror remake and the company released a statement on Nov. 26 regarding the radio silence surrounding Silent Hill 2 Remake. "As Bloober Team, we are proud to be a part of Konami's plans for the Silent Hill franchise. Alongside our partner, we are diligently working to ensure the Silent Hill 2 remake attains the highest quality," Bloober Team said in a graphic on X.

"On behalf of our development team, we would like to clarify that the production is progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule. We understand that many players around the world are eagerly anticipating news about the game, and we appreciate your dedication. However, we kindly ask for a bit more patience. Once Konami, as the game's publisher, shares more information, we are confident that the wait will be worthwhile."

Bloober Team closed out the statement by thanking fans for understanding and their support.

Fans of the Silent Hill franchise were treated to multiple announcements last year alongside the Silent Hill 2 Remake announcement, but there hasn't been much communication regarding the latter until Bloober Team's post.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Release Date

The Silent Hill 2 remake still does not have a confirmed release date. According to multiple listings on popular platforms, the game is listed as Coming Soon.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Platforms

Once it is released, Silent Hill 2 Remake will be available on PC and PlayStation 5 as a timed console exclusive. Combat should feel similar to the Resident Evil remakes that have dominated the survival horror genre.
