The Phoenix Suns are finalizing a trade with the Washington Wizards for All-Star guard Bradley Beal.

Though the Bradley Beal trade rumors have been around for years now, when it became clear that he was going to be moved by the Washington Wizards, things moved quickly. Now, Bradley Beal is going to join Kevin Durant and Devin Booker on the Phoenix Suns.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was first to report that the Suns and Wizards were finalizing the trade for the All-Star guard.

Beal has a full no-trade clause in his contract that complicated any potential trade and limited the trade partners for Washington. The Suns emerged as a contender but the All-Star guard preferred to keep DeAndre Ayton on the roster.

Bradley Beal trade details: Suns send Chris Paul, Landry Shamet to Wizards

With the deal being finalized, here is what we know about the Bradley Beal trade details.

With this trade, Durant is building another Big 3, this time with the Suns, after that project failed in Brooklyn with the pairing of KD with James Harden and Kyrie Irving, a group that came up spectacularly short of expectations when they got together.

Trading for Beal is not without risk. He'll be 30 years old at the start of the 2023-24 NBA season and has been limited by injuries to 60 or fewer games in each of the past four seasons. Even with the health concerns, he's been a star when on the floor, averaging 27 points, 5.5 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from 3-point range since 2019.

The Suns, meanwhile, will now be heavily in the luxury tax, which will limit their remaining options to fill out the depth of the roster in Phoenix. Even still, this is an all-in move to try and win a title after acquiring Durant at this past year's trade deadline.
