IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Caitlin Clark had 24 points and 11 assists, Kate Martin added 17 points and No. 4 Iowa beat Bowling Green 99-65 on Saturday.
Clark, the nation’s leader in scoring and assists, recorded the 47th double-double of her career and third of the season. She was 10 of 20 from the field, but just 2 of 11 on 3-pointers. Clark added seven rebounds.
Bowling Green played a diamond-and-one defense to try to slow Clark, but the rest of Iowa’s offense took advantage. The Hawkeyes (8-1) shot 66.7% from the field and got 72 points inside.
Sydney Affolter tied a career high with 14 points for the Hawkeyes, going 7 of 7 from the field.
Lexi Fleming led Bowling Green (5-2) with 24 points. Amy Velasco added 11.
NO. 7 COLORADO 74, AIR FORCE 58
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — Frida Formann scored 23 points and Colorado used a big second quarter to beat Air Force.
Formann finished 5 of 9 from 3-point range. Sara-Rose Smith added 11 points for the Buffaloes (8-1).
Taylor Britt led Air Force (4-4) with 13 points.
SOUTHERN MISS 61, MISSISSIPPI 59
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Domonique Davis scored 25 points, including an acrobatic layup with 15 seconds to play, and Southern Miss beat Mississippi.
Nyla Jean's steal as time ran out sealed the win for the Golden Eagles (7-0), who are off to their best start since 2003 and beat a ranked team for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
Marquesha Davis scored 15 points for the Rebels (6-3). Snudda Collins added 14 points.
