Heigl claimed, "I watched every episode when it aired. I was anxious to see how it all turned out." Pompeo added, "Yeah, see, that was not good for my mind to do that, so I avoided that. Many of the episodes I was seeing for the first time with Stella (her daughter) It’s pretty cool to be a part of something that’s lasted this long," reported Variety.
Heigl continued, "There would be scenes that I would be so embarrassed to be sitting next to her watching. I’d be like, 'Can we fast forward this moment?' Pompeo added, "Yeah. This is sex with the ghost." "Yeah, that. The oral sex with the ghost while somebody else was watching in the room. I don’t know how I’d explain that," Heigl concluded. The scene in question involved oral sex with her ghost patient Denny, while someone else was present in the room, leaving Heigl questioning how she would explain it.
'Very few people will stand up for you'
Beyond the lighthearted anecdotes, Heigl and Pompeo also delved into the valuable lessons they learned during their time on the show. They discussed the importance of standing up for oneself in the entertainment industry, even if it means facing criticism. “If you cannot stand up for yourself in this industry, very few people will stand up for you,” Heigl said to Pompeo. “So you’d better learn how to, and you’d better be OK with them not liking you for it.”
