Charlie Puth called the Kelsea Ballerini incident 'disrespectful' and urged fans to 'just enjoy the music'

The incident involving Kelsea Ballerini on stage during her performance in Idaho went viral after she was struck by a bracelet hurled at her. The 'If You Go Down' singer spoke candidly about the tragic event and even shot back at critics who labeled her "soft." However, a huge number of people, including her pals in the entertainment world, spoke out about her well-being.

The 31-year-old 'One Call Away' singer spoke out in support of fellow performers on June 29, a day after Ballerini was injured after a bracelet was thrown at her face during a recent performance in Boise, Idaho. He mentioned Bebe Rexha and Ava Max on Twitter, saying that they both were hurt while performing.

Puth wrote in his Tweet, "This trend of throwing things at performers while they are on stage must come to an end. (Bebe, Ava, AND NOW Kelsea Ballerini…). He added, "It's so disrespectful and very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music I beg of you."

In fact, a variety of objects have been hurled at performers onstage recently. For instance, Pink was completely taken aback when a concertgoer at the British Summer Time Festival on June 25 hurled a bag of ashes in her way. The 'Just Like a Pill' singer, who was not struck in the event, picked up the bag and asked, "This is your mom?" in the now-viral TikTok footage of the incident. "I don't know how to feel about this," she continued as she set the bag down on the stage's edge.

American popstar @P!NK was left stunned after a fan threw a bag of her cremated mother's ashes onto the stage during a performance in London’s Hyde Park. The megastar, who was headlining the British Summer Time festival, hesitantly picked up the bag of ashes before placing them back down again. "I don't know how I feel about that," she said, before continuing to finish her song. #pink #trustfall #popstar #popmusic #concert #livemusic #hydepark #london #10newsfirst

'Throw respect and appreciation'

Fans rallied around Puth as he expressed his support for other entertainers. A user tweeted, "Terrible. Artists need our love and protection." "Seriously!!! Every performer should feel safe at a show. It's disgusting to think performing for fans and have this happen, said another. "We appreciate you Charlie and hope you don't have to deal with this!" One fan wrote, "So agree, there should really be no reason to throw anything on stage." "If y'all gonna throw something at the artist, throw respect and appreciation," noted another.
