Christina Hendricks is the latest Hollywood celebrity to be accused of using the controversial prescription medicine off-label to slim down

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christina Hendricks is reportedly the latest Hollywood celebrity to shed a significant amount of weight. The 48-year-old actress took to Instagram on July 4 to share a series of photographs flaunting herself in a busty black dress.

Some of her followers were quick to point out that she looked much smaller compared to the earlier pictures, leading to speculations regarding Ozempic use. This makes Hendricks the latest celebrity to be accused of using the controversial prescription medicine off-label to slim down. The 'Mad Men' star uploaded the stunning pictures on Instagram, captioning the post, "Dinner with friends." However, the comment section didn't look much appreciative, as most of it was full of criticism regarding her apparent weight loss.

'Literally everyone is on ozempic'

Soon after the 'Good Girls' actress posted the pictures, the Ozempic claims started rolling in. One user commented, "literally everyone is on ozempic ☠️." Another user urged Hendricks to "lay off" the diabetes aid that doubles as a weight loss drug. "You're losing too much weight," stated one more who was a bit concerned about her weight loss, while a follower expressed, "Dang that's some weight loss," sharing their thoughts about the star's significant change.

The Tennessee native wore a mid-length black dress with a plunging neckline, revealing her well-endowed cleavage. Her dress had short, puffy sleeves and was trimmed just below her knees for a more modest look. Hendricks paired the black dress with eye-catching gold chandelier earrings creating the perfect contrast, while her ginger-colored hair was tied back into a low bun that lay over the back of her neck. She went subtle with her makeup, sporting thick winged eyeliner, and flushed cheeks.

As the usage of Ozempic has increased in Hollywood in recent months, some celebrities have acknowledged taking it while others have categorically denied using the medication primarily used for Type 2 diabetes. Dolores Catania of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' claimed in April that she was administered Mounjaro (Tirzepatide), a medicine comparable to Ozempic. Catania's doctor, Rocio Salas-Whalen, defended her choice to provide the drug after her hospitalization.

The doctor said that a patient may be prescribed a weight loss medicine for several reasons, stating, "Whenever we see somebody that we may think they don't need the medication, unless you're their doctor, you don't know their medical history." Salas-Whalen went on to opine that when someone admits to using the medicine, the public should not jump to judgment, expressing, "Nobody can assume just by looking at somebody that they don't need it or that they're doing it for the wrong reasons," as reported by Daily Mail.
