YouTube star Logan Paul played football in high school but had to quit due to injuries before pursuing his successful career

CLEVELAND, OHIO: Before launching his own channel on YouTube and racking up billions of views, the elder Paul brother, Logan Paul, achieved a meteoric rise in recent years. Originally rising to stardom by creating odd viral videos, he later became a WWE star.

Since then, the controversial wrestler has pursued a wide range of other interests, including appearances on TV shows, playing significant roles at boxing events, running his own successful podcast, and even rising to the rank of a famous WWE wrestler. But did Paul ever play football professionally before?

Did Logan Paul ever play for NFL?

Before becoming well-known, Paul was a high school football player. Due to a succession of injuries that prevented him from practicing for a year, he was forced to give up football when he was 15 years old. In his senior year of high school, Paul earned a spot at Ohio University by placing fifth in the OHSAA State Championships. However, Logan Paul didn't pursue a professional football career after finishing high school. The YouTube video showing him receiving balls with former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was the closest he came to playing in the NFL.

In 2020, Newton and Paul crossed paths in Los Angeles. While Paul was in the region to meet with a specialist for injury rehabilitation, Cam Newton was there to do some drills. Devin Asiasi, a tight end with the New England Patriots, joined the two when they took the field at UCLA. After going through several rounds of drills, the two were then seen engaging in throwing and catching exercises together.

Paul's Football career

Logan Paul's high school football career gives the impression that he would have at least performed reasonably well if he had played professionally. Paul excelled as a dual-sport athlete while maintaining a 4.7 GPA in his final year, earning him the Southwestern Conference MVP award. He made 92 tackles for the Westlake Demons during his senior year.

Logan Paul's father had previously shared a video of his son's accomplishments with the squad before Paul sustained an injury that forced him to give up playing football. The 28-year-old has amassed a massive fan following, with his YouTube channel currently having more than 23.7 million subscribers as of this writing.
