LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Margot Robbie's audition for a role in 'American Horror Story: Asylum' has come to light through the show's casting director Eric Dawson.

In a recent interview with Backstage, he revealed that despite not securing the part, Robbie's performance left a lasting impression. However, he didn't open up about the specific role, leading people to speculate about it.

'AHS' casting director Eric Dawson calls Margot Robbie's audition one of his favorites

During the Backstage interview, Eric Dawson commended Margot Robbie's undeniable star quality, saying, "Margot has a lot of ‘it’ factors. That’s the tough thing for casting directors who aren’t in the room [anymore] with actors."

He also added, "Margot is probably one of my favorite auditions of all time, and it was right before she broke out. She was such a star," highlighting how good Robbie was even back then.

"It was crazy, her star appeal when she walked in the room. Even though she didn’t get that role, that was one of those things as a casting director where you go: This is a star, what do we do with her?" expressed the 'AHS' casting director.

The casting process thrives on identifying rising talents, a realm Robbie rapidly transcended. Despite not securing the role, her audition demonstrated her rising star status, captivating casting professionals with her potential.

"Immediately, though, she was out of our realm of possibility of hiring. But that’s really the fun part of casting, is seeing the people whose careers are just rising," stated Dawson.

Even though he didn't reveal the role, many speculate it to be that of the character Grace, later played by Lizzie Brochere.

'Barbie's global box office triumph and financial gains

'Barbie's remarkable box office records and groundbreaking achievement as the first solo female-directed movie to surpass $1 billion worldwide attest to Margot Robbie's prowess.

Her involvement as both an actress and co-producer is expected to earn her approximately $50 million, as per Variety.

Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' has an overall earnings amounting to $1.34 billion, which surpasses the lifetime earnings of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2'.

Additionally, it's possible that 'Barbie' could soon outpace 'The Super Mario Bros Movie' to claim the title of 2023's highest-grossing film worldwide, already achieving the feat domestically, according to Collider.
