LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miley Cyrus debuted a new song on Tuesday night, November 21, during an intimate performance at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont ahead of her 31st birthday on Wednesday, People reports.

The singer, while sporting a strapless black mini dress and matching gloves, was heard singing the lyrics, “Don’t know if it’s ever gonna stop / I wouldn’t mind if it don’t / Don’t leave me high / Don’t let me down / ‘Cause I want you more.”

Miley Cyrus' boyfriend Maxx Morando attended her live performance

It seemed that the 'Wrecking Ball' singer dedicated the last lyrics to her boyfriend Maxx Morando, 25, who was in attendance for the performance, according to photos shared by attendees on X. The 31-year-old sang 'Don’t let me down' as she looked straight at the front row where Morando appeared to be sitting, causing the crowd to burst into laughter.

Cyrus also gave the first live performance of her Grammy-nominated breakup hit 'Flowers' during the special performance which included a group of invite-only guests, per Billboard. The song is rumored to be about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus was 'the healthiest in a long time' after her song release in January

Following the song’s release in January, sources close to the pop star said Cyrus was “the healthiest and happiest she's been in a long time” as she rejoiced in the success of her album 'Endless Summer Vacation.'

After her divorce from the 'Hunger Games' actor, the source added that Cyrus was finally ready to "tell her side of the story" after having "had time to process and heal" from the split.

Another source also noted that Morando, who produced two songs on 'Endless Summer Vacation,' is a "cool guy" whose drama-free personality Cyrus finds refreshing.

"He has no interest in being a huge celebrity; he's very low-key. Miley loves these qualities," the insider said at the time, adding "Miley can be herself. They are supportive of each other's careers. Miley is enjoying life and things are great."

Miley Cyrus revealed the moment she realized her marriage with Liam Hemsworth was over

Meaww previously reported that Miley Cyrus disclosed the moment she realized her short-lived marriage to her long-time love, Liam Hemsworth, was coming to an end. The power couple had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship for nearly a decade before tying the knot in December 2018. However, the marriage lasted only 8 months. They attributed the split to "irreconcilable differences."

Cyrus revealed that she came to the decision to leave her husband during the 2019 Glastonbury Festival in England. "Glastonbury was in June, which was when the decision happened that me and Liam's commitment to being married just really came from, of course, a place of love first — because we'd been together for 10 years — but also from a place of trauma," the singer said.

"That was another moment where the work, the performance, the character came first. And I guess now that's why it's so important to me for me to not be the case [anymore]," said the 'Bangerz' singer, adding, "The human comes first."
