BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Elton John cannot wait to complete his final farewell show as he is planning to expand his family with his husband David Furnish, 60. The couple recently welcomed a labrador puppy named Jacob and according to a source, "Once Elton completes his final tour, he and David are planning to have more children."

Despite having a successful career, the 76-year-old five-time Grammy winner finds parenting his most fulfilling role. "Selling out stadiums and writing songs that will live forever is thrilling, but it just can't compare to being a dad to Zachary and Elijah," said an insider and added that "if Al Pacino can become a dad again at 83, there's no reason Elton can't have more kids at 76," according to Radar Online.

'It’s far less scary than the first time ’round!'

Elton who married David in 2005 welcomed their first child Zachary in 2010 via surrogate on December 25. The pair welcomed their second child Elijah in January 2013. The couple spoke out about being dads of two. "I would say we feel more secure in our parenting skills now — it’s far less scary than the first time ’round!" Furnished shared following the birth of his first child.

The Canadian filmmaker revealed they intended to be open with their children about how they were born. "We kept a scrapbook for Zachary with all his scans, emails with the surrogate, and key moments from the surrogacy, and we are doing the same for Elijah," said Furnish. "We want the boys to understand the spirit and love that was at the heart of the process," he continued.

"All we hope is that Zachary and Elijah are healthy and happy. They will always be able to rely on us for total love and support, and we hope they grow up to live their own lives and be who they want to be, not who we want them to be," Furnish stated.

Elton John's final farewell show

The legendary musician's last concert 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' in Sweden on Saturday, July 8 marked his retirement from touring. The farewell show began in 2018 but was delayed due to the Covid pandemic and also due to his health troubles. The global icon who has performed for more than fifty years has decided to retire to spend time with his family. "It’s time to come off the road so I can fully embrace the next important chapter of my life," the 'Rocket Man' singer said in 2018.
