LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emily Ratajkowski, model and actress, is currently under fire following a recent photoshoot where she was pictured wearing pants far larger than her actual waist size.

The 32-year-old model showcased a range of outfits for a feature in the French magazine Le Monde this week. The second photo from the shoot has raised eyebrows.

The photoshoot has been branded as "fatphobic" by critics.

In a photo shared by Ratajkowski on Instagram, captured by photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the brunette stunner is seen standing inside one leg of a pair of jeans.

She holds the waistband out to the side, seemingly to highlight her fit physique and the significant size difference of the jeans.

The image bears a striking resemblance to weight loss advertisements from the early 2000s, a choice that many of her followers found unusual for a fashion editorial shoot, per Page Six.

Ratajkowski has openly addressed the challenges of the modeling industry and has been forthright about her personal battles with body image over the years.

She expressed to Yahoo the pressure women face in portraying themselves, saying, "You have this idea, this goal of being a type of woman, being beautiful … and now everyone is putting out an image of themselves. We all have Instagrams."

The 'Gone Girl' actress further added, "I think that I realized that my experience was maybe more relatable than I even realized."

One fan called out Emily and said, "What in the fatphobic hell is that second picture?🤡"

Another fan said, "What is the reason for this second photo? genuinely curious."

"What a strange second photo. And you wrote a book about body image? Mm!" wrote a user.

Plus-size model Tess Holliday stated, "I’ve been looking for those jeans in the second photo if you could just please return them that would cool. Tysm."

"Writing a book centered body image and then doing the second photo is crazy," noted another user.

"Really trying to understand the purpose of the second photo?" someone else wrote.

"Writing a book about feminism and female empowerment then posting that second pic is CRAZYYY," claimed another.

Some even asked to take down the photos. A follower wrote, "Delete this girl it’s soooooo humiliating sooooooo insane sooooooo yikes."

Another said, "Still time to delete this post."

"Weird to write a whole book about how you’ve felt pressured to succumb to industry body norms and then post that second photo reinforcing those same norms," penned one follower.
