LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Russell Brand, has received an outpouring of support from his devoted fanbase as he took to his YouTube channel on Friday, September 15, to "absolutely deny serious allegations" that he found after receiving letters from mainstream media.

The claims emerged just ahead of a highly anticipated Channel 4 'Dispatches' investigation scheduled for broadcast at 9 pm on Saturday with sources hinting at shocking revelations involving a well-known celebrity.

What are the accusations against Russell Brand?

Brand's video message, which has since attracted significant attention and engagement, saw him unequivocally deny the allegations, which he described as "very, very serious criminal allegations."

He stressed that he "absolutely refutes" these claims, which were presented to him in two "extremely disturbing letters" from a "mainstream media TV company" and a newspaper, listing what he described as "a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks which are untrue."

What did Russell Brand say about the accusations against him?

"These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time when I was in the movies. And as I've written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous," asserted Brand.

The comedian emphasized that the relationships he had during the said time were "always consensual" and that he had been transparent about his actions.

He further said, "And to see that transparency metastasized into something criminal that I absolutely deny makes me question, is there another agenda at play?"

'They don’t like competition!'

Brand's devoted following, numbering in the millions, has rushed to express their support for the internet personality.

One of the users to support Brand was tech giant Elon Musk who tweeted, "Of course. They don’t like competition."

Another said, "Rusty, I have always admired your honesty and stoicism. People forget we all have past. Many have trauma they dont speak about or can't as society demonises them, instead of those who hurt them, and not many are trauma informed or care."

The user added, "Keep saying your things. You are a rare gem. As you know, love is universal. It doesn’t discriminate, our greatest teachers told us so."

A third claimed, "They're just trying to shut you up. Stay safe , stay true." A fourth added, "Brand is the thick man’s idea of a clever and profound thinker."

"If they are coming for you, then you're doing something right...," read a tweet. "I hope you’re able to sue these people into oblivion,' tweeted another.

Another chimed, "Stay strong, sir. We don't always agree, but you're one of the good guys in my book."
