One thing is for sure: Deion Sanders will get butts into seats to see Colorado play football.

It may take a year or so before they start winning more games than they lose, but Deion Sanders has so much positive momentum working for him at Colorado.

The greatest cover cornerback in NFL history is just getting started at his new venture. After having great success at the HBCU level leading Jackson State, Coach Prime has taken over in Boulder. The Buffaloes went 1-11 last season, and were arguably the worst program in the Power Five. For now, we know that Folsom Field is going to be packed to the brim in year one under him.

Colorado has already sold out its season-ticket allotment for the first time since 1996. The football program just sold some 11,273 single-game tickets on Wednesday, which marks the largest amount of single-game tickets sold in a day in team history. When you are setting school ticket sales records before you have even coached your first game at a place, this speaks volumes.

It will be a multi-year play for Coach Prime in Boulder, but the early financial returns are promising.

Deion Sanders is getting everyone to come watch Colorado play at Folsom Field

Admittedly, the Coach Prime hype is a tad out of control, but I am totally here for it. I want college football in the western part of the country to matter. With the Denver Broncos being a chaotic mess for the better part of decade now, it is cool to see Coloradans having something worthwhile to invest their precious time into on the weekends. Y'all do realize Boulder is an awesome place?

Even if Coach Prime doesn't subject himself to the shenanigans synonymous with Boulder, I want to see a winning product thrive in one of the best college towns in the country. It has been a minute since CU football mattered. Joel Klatt doesn't play quarterback anymore, as he calls Ohio State football games for a living, alongside the best in-booth hype man of all time in Gus Johnson.

I don't know if CU is capable of going 6-6 in year one under Sanders, but I would love to see the Buffs try. This isn't the right place where things typically tend to pop in year two under a strong head coach since there were so many systemic issues holding Colorado football back. But with Sanders and athletic director Rick George in lock step, let's hope for everyone that this will work.

Win or lose, Colorado will have more people paying attention to them since the ole Big Eight days.
