AUSTIN, TEXAS: Dutch Mantell, a veteran of the WWE, recently discussed the fans' jaw-dropping reaction to Ricochet and Logan Paul's incredible fight during the Men's Money in the Bank event. When Ricochet performed a breathtaking springboard "Spanish Fly" on Paul standing on the ropes, both of them landed on a table placed close to the ring where the ladder match was being held.

Mantell stated on Sportskeeda Wrestling's 'Smack Talk' show that he believed Ricochet and Paul would be heavily injured when he saw the move. The former WWE boss showered the two with accolades while stating that no amount of training can really prepare someone for a circumstance like that when the rope isn't static.

'Thought these guys are gonna get killed'

Mantell noted that both performers were fortunate to have avoided harm from the incident, making it the end of their careers. "When I saw that, I thought these guys (Ricochet and Logan Paul) are gonna get killed. That was a tricky, tricky bump where you're dealing with ropes. Paul almost tripped and then went off. One of these days, one of them is not gonna get up. That took one hell of an athletic performance to even pull that off. Because you can practice it, but you don't know if these ropes are gonna go here or there or if there's a misstep. Both of them are lucky," said Mantell about his reaction to Paul and Ricochet's fight.

'Went crashing through the tables'

Paul admitted on his 'IMPAULSIVE' podcast that he thought the move was impossible because they were literally standing on ropes. The YouTuber-turned-wrestler that the duo wanted to try the "Spanish Fly," but Ricochet's move came out of the blue for Paul, and it did indeed manage to shock the London crowd. "I'm not even ready. His feet aren't even planted. Off the second rope, just hawks a backflip. I'm like, alright! Went crashing through the tables, scraped my shoulder, I hit my head on the thing. I'm fine, no concussions or anything but, it's just a wild sport man. I don't know what I'm doing," said Paul describing the situation. After their intense MITB men's ladder match, the duo will square off in an upcoming WWE RAW edition in order to decide on a fight at WWE SummerSlam 2023.
