Tottenham Hotspur legend Gareth Bale has revealed that he's been impressed by Ange Postecoglou's start to life as the club's head coach. Spurs have taken 10 points from a possible 12 so far this season and have played exciting football.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gareth Bale has revealed that he's been impressed by Ange Postecoglou's start to life as the club's head coach.

Postecoglou was appointed as the permanent successor to Antonio Conte in June and is unbeaten through the opening four games of the Premier League season.

Despite losing the club's all-time leading scorer to Harry Kane one day before the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, Spurs have put in a series of entertaining performances under the Greek-Australian - a far cry from those under their previous pragmatic bosses in Antonio Conte, Nuno Espirito Santo and Jose Mourinho.

Postecoglou's fast start to life in England has seen him earn a nomination for August's Premier League Manager of the Month award.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Bale - who scored 71 goals in 237 games for Tottenham across two stints - was full of praise for Postecoglou.

"It's great to see, I think they've got their style back, that's something the club was obviously looking for as well, seeing how he played and performed at Celtic," Bale said.

"A great start, hopefully there's still more to come from the team. They'll obviously just keep getting better and better with the new manager and a new kind of style. Hopefully they can put themselves up there and give themselves a chance."

Spurs recently completed the signing of Bale's former Wales teammate Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest

"He's doing well, the more he plays now in the top-flight the better he'll get," Bale added.

"The sky's the limit. He's playing football and improving and doing well. It's good for Tottenham and Wales."

It was then put to Bale that ex-Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey recently bemoaned that Johnson had joined their north London rivals.

"Better than Arsenal!" Bale retorted.
