SAVE 75%: New and returning subscribers can score their first three months of Disney+ Basic for just $1.99/month (normally $7.99/month) through Sept. 20.

Deals on Disney+ subscriptions are few and far between. The streaming service did away with its free trial offer way back in 2020, and as far as we know, it's never offered discounts on its standalone (non-bundled) plans outside of Disney+ Day promotions the past two falls.

There aren't any official plans for a 2023 Disney+ Day as of yet, but the streamer's rare seasonal deal has still arrived on schedule: From Sept. 6 through Sept. 20, new and returning subscribers can snag three months of its ad-supported Basic plan for only $1.99 a month. That's a good 75% off its usual monthly rate of $7.99, or an $18 savings altogether.

This stellar Disney+ deal comes just after Disney announced another impending price increase for its streamer's Premium plan (and amid its messy contract dispute with Spectrum) — its second such hike in less than a year. That tier, which eliminates ads and lets subscribers download content for on-the-go viewing, will go from $10.99 a month to $13.99 a month starting Oct. 12.

The Disney+ Basic tier didn't exist last Black Friday, but historically, the streamer hasn't offered any holiday discounts (unlike many of its peers). If you're mulling over the idea of subscribing, it might help to know that this is likely its cheapest rate for 2023.

The plan will renew at $7.99/month once your first three months are up, but you can avoid that charge by canceling your subscription before the end of the term.
