Ginger Zee provided details from the White House report, aiming to illustrate the impact of climate change

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ meteorologist Ginger Zee schooled a troll on climate change, responding to their attempt to mock her coverage of the White House Climate Change report, which asserts that "global temperatures have significantly risen in the last 50 years."

The 42-year-old did a brief segment on ‘GMA’ discussing the big points highlighted in the White House Climate Change report released every five years.

Zee informed viewers that, according to the report, a key highlight was "global temperatures increasing faster in the past 50 years than any time in the last two millennia."

The 'GMA' star provided further details from the White House report, aiming to illustrate the impact of climate change.

However, a troll attempted to undermine her efforts by claiming that the "sun" is the primary factor in climate change.

Ginger Zee claps back at troll over climate change

Zee mentioned in her coverage, “Greenhouse gases are higher today than at any time in the last 800,000 years. The drought in the southwestern US is the most severe in at least 1200 years.”

She later spoke about the “damage cost” that each US state had to suffer due to climate change.

Zee said, “China emits far more than the US today, our country still holds the legacy load, more per capita than any other country, and is responsible for part of China’s emissions since we consume Chinese goods.”

Despite Zee’s in-depth analysis, a troll didn’t want to see eye to eye with the ‘GMA’ star and instead mocked her with an analysis of their own.

They tweeted, “The sun was active this year and is the biggest driver of climate, they never include the sun in any climate issues. We had 4 years of drought in the 1930's and record high temps. Let's not forget that.”

After taking note of the comment, Zee decided to respond and teach the troll a lesson in climate change.

She replied, “If the Sun were responsible for global warming, we would expect to see warming throughout all layers of the atmosphere, from the surface to the upper atmosphere (stratosphere).”

Zee continued, “But what we actually see is warming at the surface and cooling in the stratosphere. This is consistent with the warming being caused by a buildup of heat-trapping gases near Earth's surface, and not by the Sun getting “hotter.”

Toward the end, Zee attached a link to NASA’s climate change report and advised the troll to “read more.”

‘GMA’ host Ginger Zee visits Disney World with family ahead of Thanksgiving

Zee decided to celebrate Thanksgiving a bit 'early' this year by taking a family trip to Disney World.

The 42-year-old took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her adventurous trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She was accompanied by her husband, Ben Aaron, her two sons, Adrian and Miles, and a few other family members.

She shared snaps of her sons posing with the Mickey Mouse figure while also sharing a wholesome family snap with her followers.

Zee captioned the post, “Quick dip in to see the boss and hang for an early Thanksgiving with our family.”
