This is not the first time that Gutfeld or Fox News has targeted Thomas and her participation in the sport as a woman

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld took a jab at transgender swimmer Lia Thomas in one of his recent episodes.

The late-night host made a joke about Thomas in a segment based around a study that considered the physique of men to be somehow associated with their political leanings and views.

In the classic fashion of his show, Gutfeld came up with several insults turned into jokes about personalities like Thomas, other celebrities and even his guests on 'Gutfeld!' that day.

Greg Gutfeld comments on Lia Thomas' gender

In a segment from the Wednesday episode, broadcast on September 6, Gutfeld introduced a new study published in the Personality and Individual Differences journal. The study found that the American population perceives muscular men to have conservative leanings in terms of politics and societal ideas.

The late-night host was ready to take the study up to make several puns and jokes around his fellow Fox News hosts and even popular TV personalities like 'The View' hosts as he called them "left-wing dudes".

While picking up pieces from the study, he made a comment on Lia Thomas, who has been repeatedly attacked by the conservative media for her participation in women's swimming after her transition.

"Strong men appeared more conservative than weaker ones," he quoted from the study, "Meanwhile, the buff, broad-shouldered men are only seen as liberal when they are changing in a woman's locker room."

Thomas' photo was on display when Gutfeld said the latter bit.

However, this is not the first time that Gutfeld or Fox News has targeted Thomas and her participation in the sport as a woman.

Greg Gutfeld's repeated harassment of Lia Thomas

Gutfeld has previously passed comments about Thomas' gender and sexuality on his other appearances on the Fox News show 'The Five'.

He once asked his fellow hosts on the show about Thomas' body parts after transitioning.

"You can say, ‘That is none of your business.’ It is my business because you’ve made it our business!” Gutfeld explained himself, “You have entered these arenas and we have no choice. If you have kids playing, you want to know in the locker room, does that person have the external genitalia or is it gone?”

On another occassion, Gutfeld also judged the change in beauty standards by including Thomas in a shade against transgender people.

Thomas came into the spotlight after becoming the first openly transgender athlete to win the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletics Association) championship title in swimming.
