TUALATIN, OREGON: Lisa Dailey, who has been the principal of Hazelbrook Middle School since July 2022 and served as the Associate Principal of Tigard High School for over three years, did not comment on the recent violent school fight that occurred at the Hazelbrook Middle School in Tualatin, Oregon.

The victim was seen walking down a busy school hallway when a fellow student pounced on the unaware girl and grabbed her backpack while appearing to be aware that the incident was being recorded.

According to Oregon Live, the case has been forwarded to the Washington County Juvenile Department after the suspected attacker was detained by the Tualatin Police Department and charged with assault.

After the event, a school spokeswoman, Traci Rose, told The Oregonian that they couldn't talk about a student's gender identity because of federal legislation after there were claims that the supposed attacker identified as transgender.

Footage of Hazelbrook Middle School attack goes viral

In the footage, which has been viewed millions of times online, the attacker can be seen dragging another female student by her backpack in the hallway before grabbing her by the hair and striking her repeatedly.

The victim cried out, "I didn't do anything! I didn't do anything!" while the attacker repeatedly beat her on the ground before slamming her to the floor and saying, "Touch me again, b***h," prior to leaving the place.

Video of the incident spread around the Tigard-Tualatin area before reaching conservative pundits, who assumed the attacker was transgender based solely on their appearance and attire, as per Oregon Live.

Subsequent to the attack, the victim was left so traumatized that she broke down in tears and was caught on camera wailing, "I can't breathe."

The reason for the assault is still not known, even though the way it was captured on camera indicates it was somewhat anticipated. Authorities are yet to reveal the identities and ages of the two students, but the video has stirred some controversy after being widely circulated online.

Moreover, some believe that it was orchestrated because a Hazelbrook student was seen taking pictures of the incident before the brawl started.

Social media users are concerned about the worrying trend whereby footage of school fights is becoming increasingly popular online. The risky habit includes students waiting to capture the altercation and putting it up on social media.

Meanwhile, the Superintendent of the Tigard-Tualatin school district stated during an emergency "safety" conference that their schools do not have a "zero tolerance" policy for any violence -- in the wake of the horrifying assault at Hazelbrook Middle School last week.

Hazelbrook Middle School student allegedly started random fights in the past

As the uproar grew, multiple reports revealed that the perpetrator in the school video from the Hazelbrook Middle School was a transgender child, and had a history of attacking other students.

The attacker is alleged to have started unprovoked, videotaped confrontations with unaware schoolmates.

In addition, a second video of the same Hazelbrook teenager viciously assaulting two other female students was released on Thursday, September 28.

The mother of the victim in the most recent incident revealed in a statement on social media that the assailant has a history of hitting girls in school.

She apparently said, "He doesn't seem like a good human being at all. He is known for being a bully and has done this to several girls. He is clearly targeting females," as per Sportskeeda.

Internet slams Hazelbrook Middle School and Tigard-Tualatin School District for their lack of a 'zero tolerance' policy for violence

The event at the Hazelbrook Middle School led netizens to call out the Tigard-Tualatin school district's lack of "zero tolerance" policy on violence, with one writing in X (formerly Twitter), "So the argument here is that zero tolerance doesn't work because....they might come back with a gun?"

Another said, "That was my take from this very long winded reply. Also note that there seem to be police x3 sitting in the room did they speak to this to? Do the police have Zero tolerance?"

"Bet they'd have a zero tolerance policy for misgendering tho," claimed one.

A user expressed, "My take; I agree that “zero tolerance” rules of any sort, throws out the “baby with the bath water”. It establishes that students who DEFEND themselves are subject to the same punishment. That said; taking a case by case look is the better approach."

They added, "However, the school did not say what the consequences would be. Criminal charges should be rightfully pursued."

"Saying that the research is clear sounds very smart and academic, but doesn’t make it true," noted another user.

One more seethed and wrote, "So after the student gets slapped on the wrist a couple times they blow up and violently hurts someone. That would totally be on the school board."

"Betcha’ they have a zero tolerance policy for *some* violence," snarked another one.
