Jessica Hecht recalled her favorite episode featuring Matthew Perry that led to comical reactions from the cast

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a heartfelt tribute to her late 'Friends' co-star, Jessica Hecht who played the role of Susan Bunch on the popular sitcom, shared fond memories of Matthew Perry.

On Monday, November 13, the actress spoke to PageSix at Manhattan Theatre about Perry saying "He was so silly when he was young, and he was so easy to love."

Hecht who portrayed Bunch, the wife of Ross Geller's ex-wife Carol Willick, further talked about her favorite episode of the sitcom being 'The One With the Breast Milk' in Season 2.

The episode featured Chandler Bing (Perry) and Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) feeling disgusted by Carol (Jane Sibbett) breastfeeding.

"His [Perry’s] was the silliest attempt to taste the breast milk. I just remember how kind he was and how he tried to make everyone else at ease," Hecht told PageSix.

The actress then shared that the 'Fools Rush In' actor "was kinder to other people [than himself], as many people are who suffer from addiction and all of that — just desperate for other people to be relieved from the pain that they feel."

'Friends' cast members 'devastated' by Matthew Perry's unexpected death

On October 28, Perry who died in an apparent drowning left the world in shock.

Following the sudden death of the '17 Again' star at the age of 54, the main 'Friends' cast members issued a joint statement two days later expressing that they were "utterly devastated."

"We were more than just castmates. We are a family," said Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc.

"There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able," they added.

"For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world," the continued.

In his 2022 memoir 'Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing', Perry candidly spoke about his struggles with drugs and alcohol and revealed that he "nearly died" a few years ago following an opioid overuse that left him in a coma for two weeks.

On November 3, the 'Friends' co-stars and Perry's loved ones attended his funeral. He was later buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
