Honkai Star Rail is garnering praise for its amazing visuals and smooth gameplay

HoYoverse's newest release, 'Honkai Star Rail', has quickly gained popularity in the gaming world. The game has garnered a considerable player base and has led to comparisons with the developer's other successful game, 'Genshin Impact'. Despite some similarities, 'Honkai Star Rail' may be dethroning 'Genshin Impact', and players have taken note of its unique elements.

'Honkai Star Rail' has impressed players with its promising gameplay and features. Both 'Honkai Star Rail' and 'Genshin Impact' are built on the gacha system and are similar in terms of items and gameplay mechanics.

Resin system of Star Rail

Both 'Honkai Star Rail' and 'Genshin Impact' utilize an energy system. In Genshin Impact, the energy system is known as Original Resin, with a maximum storage capacity of 160 resins. It takes eight minutes to recharge one resin, and around 21 hours and 20 minutes to recharge from zero resin to 160 resin.

Meanwhile, 'Honkai Star Rail' uses Trailblaze Power as its energy meter, which has a higher maximum capacity of 180 Trailblaze power, and each Trailblaze Power takes only six minutes to recharge, making it quicker compared to Genshin Impact's Original Resin system. This energy system is just one example of the game's improvements over 'Genshin Impact', as it has several features that saves players' time.

Tas system of 'Honkai Star Rail' is much smoother

The integration of daily commissions and the ease of access to menus, including exploration and item management, are areas where 'Honkai: Star Rail' excels in comparison to 'Genshin Impact'.

'Genshin Impact' players have voiced concerns about the clunkiness of assigning characters for exploration and managing gadgets. Meanwhile, the daily commissions in 'Honkai Star Rail' offer a smoother experience compared to those in Genshin Impact. In addition, 'Star Rail' offers a unique feature where players can recover their health upon teleporting to a Space Anchor. The ley lines in the game also remain stationary, reducing the need for excessive farming to obtain rewards.

'Honkai Star Rail' boasts a superior banner system

'Honkai Star Rail' and 'Genshin Impact' share many similarities with gacha games. However, 'Star Rail' has some notable advantages in its wish system over 'Genshin Impact'. One such advantage is the ability for players to select a 5-star character of their choice after making 300 wishes, a feature that is absent in 'Genshin Impact'. Though the number of wishes required is significant, being able to choose a desired 5-star character instead of relying on chance can greatly benefit players in building effective teams.

Furthermore, the Light Cone banner in 'Star Rail' offers a much better experience than 'Genshin Impact's weapon banners. With a 75% chance of getting the featured Light Cone and a guaranteed next wish being the banner's featured item, players have more control over their pulls in 'Star Rail' than in 'Genshin Impact', where even a guaranteed 5-star character is subject to random selection.

'Honkai Star Rail' doesn't require much space

'Honkai Star Rail' is a newer game compared to 'Genshin Impact' and requires considerably less disk space. Currently, 'Honkai Star Rail' takes up only 15GB of disk space on compouters and 10GB on mobile phones, whereas Genshin Impact takes up a massive 72.5GB on computers and 20.5GB on mobile phones. For players who want a gaming experience similar to 'Genshin Impact' but with enough storage space for other apps, 'Honkai Star Rail' is the better option.

'Honkai Star Rail' has a more engaging combat system

'Honkai Star Rail's turn-based combat system is a refreshing change from 'Genshin Impact's hack-and-slash mechanics. Though both games encourage experimentation with team composition and element matching, the strategic depth required in 'Star Rail's turn-based combat makes battles more engaging.

In contrast, 'Genshin Impact's combat can become dull and repetitive. 'Star Rail's combat system keeps players alert and requires careful planning before each move, providing a more satisfying experience.
