LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: C-Knight, 52, has been declared dead after he was taken off life support on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. He was one of the original members of hip hop trio DOVE Shack.

TMZ reports the death of C-Knight who went by the real name Arnez Blount. Being a diabetic, C-Knight was admitted to the hospital in mid-October after a dangerous change in his blood sugar level.

C-Knight's father George Lee Washington Jr told the outlet that he suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of his dialysis.

The rapper was immediately resuscitated and put on life support by doctors in the hospital.

The family was eagerly waiting for C-Knight's brain to show some response after being put on life support for several weeks. However, no progress was seen in the rapper's condition.

Therefore, the family is reported to have decided to take the rapper off life support and let him go peacefully from the world.

DOVE Shack members pay tribute to C-Knight

One of the member of DOVE Shack, Bo Roc, took to Instagram to upload the band's photo as he paid tribute to his dear friend C-Knight.

He wrote, "This is like f**king nightmare I swear this shit hurt different and I don't want to talk about shit to nobody so please just let me be and pray for us."

Bo Roc added, "On my soul I love you bro and I already don't know what the f**k to do wit u being gone."

C-Knight's family prayed for a miracle ahead of rapper's death

It was reported that C-Knight's family was looking forward to a miracle after the rapper was put on life support. The family were eagerly waiting forward for the MRI scan.

The reports claimed that the family were optimistic while they waited for the medical result. They were "praying for a miracle" to happen as California-based rapper's brain showed no response.

C-Knight enjoyed success after debut album in 1996

C-Knight rose to fame after his debt album 'This Is the Shack' was released in 1996. He was also the founding member of G-funk (Gangsta funk) collective DOVE Shack.

The band, including three members Bo-Roc, 2Scoops, and C-Knight, was established in 1994. Besides working on group projects, C-Knight also released solo project 'Knight Time' in 2001 and 'It's About Time' in 2010.

The group released 3 singles, 'Summertime in the LBC,' 'Bomb Drop,' and 'We Funk.' The first track was a super hit, bagging 54th spot on US Billboard 100 Chart.
