LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The internet went into a frenzy when an image of 'DWTS' contestant Harry Jowsey and his dance partner Rylee Arnold seemingly kissing started making rounds. Judge Bruno Toniolo asked Harry if they "were actually kissing" at the time, and the star responded with, "Yeah, a little bit."
However, Harry later said, "Oh no, we didn't kiss during the dance," in a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, revealing that he was sick at the time. Now Rylee has also clarified that it wasn't a kiss after all. She explained that the camera angle and shadows played tricks, creating an illusion that they were kissing.
Appearing on the 'Ugh It's Joe' podcast, Rylee revealed that they never kissed at all. She asked, "Why would we kiss in the middle of the dance? Like, of all places in the dance, it's got to be like the beginning or the end but in the middle?"
"And it was like not even a moment but I just got really close to his face on that part and I think that the shadows or the camera angle made it look like we kissed, but we didn't," she added. She further claimed that she "did not give [Harry] permission" to say that they kissed when he said so to the judge.
Despite the denial, news about their potential affair has been up in the air since their alleged kiss went viral.
