Joe Scarborough expressed his disappointment at The Wall Street Journal for their response to news about Donald Trump's indictment

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Wall Street Journal has done thorough coverage of Donald Trump prior to and especially after this third indictment. ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough expressed his disappointment with The Wall Street Journal and their coverage of Trump post his indictment.

Trump has been all over Truth Social, his alternate social media platform, where he has written about Mike Pence, Nancy Pelosi, and Special Counsel Jack Smith amongst others. Despite that, according to Scarborough, The Wall Street Journal has surrendered to “Trumpism.” As the ‘Morning Joe’ host opened up about this, he faced backlash from the internet, as people rushed to support Trump and WSJ.

‘It is sad watching their capitulation to Trumpism’

Scarborough expressed his disappointment on Twitter and wrote, “Trump threatens Special Counsel: “I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” The @WSJopinion responds by attacking Democrats for wanting cameras in the courtroom and by attacking the DOJ. As a lifelong @wsj reader, it is sad watching their capitulation to Trumpism at this moment of accountability.” With over 300K views on this particular tweet, ‘Morning Joe’ host Scarborough faced severe backlash from the internet, from Trump supporters, as well as those who haven’t been a fan of Scarborough’s work and reporting in particular.

‘Stop lying’

People on the internet did not hold back when it came to giving Scarborough a piece of their mind as one person wrote, “In fairness to @WSJ, watching your evolution over the last few years has been sad too.” Some have even called out the ‘Morning Joe’ host for allegedly lying as one person tweeted, “That is a lie. You can't pick a part out of a sentence and say someone said something. You also can't read his mind, so your opinion is not a factual statement as you've typed it to be. If all you guys can do is twist &lie about him, he's clearly innocent. Stop lying.” Another wrote, “He wasn't threatening the special council.”

Some people have directly supported WSJ, declaring, “Great opinion by the @WSJopinion.” The internet seemed through with Scarborough’s commentary on Trump as one person wrote, “Anything else you want to sob about?” Some believe this is a desperate attempt from Scarborough, “The WSJ capitulation to Trumpism?? Lol. Your desperation is showing Joe.” This tweet by Scarborough has continued to get traction from right-wing conservatives and WSJ readers.
