MOSCOW, IDAHO: The University of Idaho has reportedly awarded posthumous degrees to slain students Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20. The deceased students were awarded their certificates during the university's graduation ceremony on May 13.

Some beautiful pictures of Madison that have now surfaced on Instagram show her friend, wearing a graduate cap, holding a picture of her. Madison's pink dress in the pictures matches up with the pink flowers in the background, making the photos a treat to the eyes. Madison's friend, too, is seen wearing a pink dress.

"We planned do these grad photos together C and M&M. But this is not the way we would have ever imagined or pictured it. A senior in high school and a senior in college. Mom's are BFF's. Best friends Kaylee and Madison reportedly received a marketing degree and general studies degree, respectively. The two were seniors preparing to graduate. Ethan was a freshman and was awarded a certificate in recreation, sport, and tourism management. Xana, who was a junior, received a certificate in marketing.

'So very thoughtful and respectful'

Social media users teared up as the photos surfaced. "Love these," Jazzmin Kernodle, Xana's sister, wrote, adding, "So so beautiful". "This is so respectful of you guys . And I know she’s proud of herself in heaven," another user wrote. "So very thoughtful and respectful. That last one got me good," said a user.

"These are all beautiful. What a beautiful memory for all of you and her family," one user wrote, while another said, "Beautiful young women! What a beautiful tribute for a young life lost WAY too soon!" One said, "Aww congrats maddie you did it you graduated".

Suspect Bryan Kohberger, 28, has been accused of fatally stabbing the four students in their off-campus three-story rented home on November 13, 2022. He was arrested in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, on December 30, 2022.
