Jess Margera claimed that his brother sent him a text that had a suicidal tone

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bam Margera's brother, Jess, has provided a heartening update, stating that the 'Jackass' star had been found and was safe. This comes after receiving a concerning text message that he claims had a suicidal tone and was addressed to him and other Margera family members. "They found him safe he texted me and my parents at 6 am this morning saying he loves us he loves Phoenix and he is “at peace” and that he took enough pills to stop his heart. And some really heartbreaking dark shit. Thanks to everyone who shared info today," Jess tweeted.

Peter Thompson, Bam's lawyer, told TMZ that Bam came to Los Angeles before disappearing in an effort to reconcile with his son, who he hasn't seen in two months and with whom he hasn't had any communication at all. The former 'Jackass' star had a nervous breakdown three days ago because he couldn't see his son, Phoenix, because of his divorce from Nicole Boyd, and promised to smoke crack until he died.

Family has been worried about Bam's wellbeing

Earlier, Bam's family appeared to be worried, and his brother issued a Twitter statement to find him before he harmed himself. "If anyone in the LA area knows of Bam's current whereabouts or a hotel he might be at, contact the LAPD immediately," Jess Margera tweeted early Sunday, June 4. "I don't think we have that kind of time," he added, saying he was trying to get the police to send a message to Bam's phone.

A video that TMZ acquired and posted on Saturday provided one hint as to Bam's current whereabouts. Bam is seen in the video hanging out with a group of unknown people in a Pennsylvania bar and grill. He reportedly told onlookers that he was preparing to board a flight to Los Angeles to enter treatment. Jess was undoubtedly certain that Bam boarded a flight to Los Angeles, but he didn't accept the rehab story.

Not the first time

This is not the first time Bam has gone missing. Since 2009, the 'Jackass' star has battled addiction and has gone in and out of rehab. In addition, last year, he repeatedly broke out of a court-mandated recovery center over three times, as per Daily Mail. Most recently, a manhunt was launched throughout Pennsylvania when he escaped the scene of a confrontation with his brother outside of his $1.1 million Pocopson Township castle. Days later, he turned himself in to the police and was granted bail.
