NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Kai Cenat, a well-known Twitch streamer boasting a follower count exceeding 6.3 million, found himself embroiled in an unforeseen turn of events. Alongside his fellow members in AMP, Cenat faced allegations following a PS5 giveaway event that took a dark turn. The situation escalated to the point where Cenat was arrested and accused of inciting a riot and participating in an unlawful assembly.

After his release later in the day, New York City Mayor Eric Adams addressed Cenat's involvement and attributed the chaotic outcome to an 'outside influencer' who introduced 'disruptive elements' during the course of Cenat's giveaway event. The contest, initially meant to be a lively gathering of Cenat's fans, devolved into a scene marred by numerous incidents, including theft, altercations, and the hurling of objects such as bottles and rocks.

Is Kai Cenat innocent?

Cenat found himself released from the custody of the New York Police Department amid allegations centering on the incitement of a riot and involvement in an unlawful assembly. As depicted in a video broadcasted by Fox 5 New York, Mayor Adams of NYC addressed the accusations against Cenat and pointed fingers at external agitators for introducing disruptive elements like 'smoke bombs,' stating, "We are further looking into were there even some outside agitators. You don't come to get free Game Boys and bring smoke bombs and bring M-80s and bring other disruptive items.”

Expounding his stance, he raised concerns about influencers having an adverse impact on children, remarking, “Our children are being inundated by influencers, by those who consider themselves to be credible messengers” Furthermore, he reiterated his strong assertion by attributing blame to 'outside influencers' once again for exacerbating the riotous incident, emphasizing, "We believe there were some outside influencers that may have attempted to aggravate this situation.” Following an analysis of Adams' remarks, he depicted Cenat as an unsuspecting streamer who had neither orchestrated nor anticipated the occurrence of the riot.

'I agree mayor'

After watching the response of Eric Adams to the release of Kai Cenat, fans flocked to the comment section. One fan said, "I agree mayor. There are quite a number of people who.just love to.make trouble." A second user said, "Outside influences?” Come on, Mayor, it’s just thugs being thugs!" Another fan wrote, "The Mayor has decided to give everyone involved free housing, food, childcare, healthcare and Leah advice. Let that be a lesson to them." A fourth user said, "They won't actually do anything in the end they just want to pretend people get held accountable. They keep saying they are kids yet they arrested 30 kids and 35 adults although small that is still more adults then kids." A fifth user said, "There were no outside influencers. That excuse is getting pretty damned old. Blaming the riot on outside influencers is a good tactic to save face with his voter base. Thos was his people. His brand."
