Silas joined Twitter on June 11. And, the star took no time to post his first tweet. Addressing what was going on in 'Summer House: Martha's Vineyard,' Silas wrote, "I know I’m little late to the twitter Universe. I’ve received a lot of support and shade from fans of #summerhousemv I thank y’all for watching. Let’s talk #firsttweet." Later, the next day, Silas addressed the trolls he has been receiving ever since the release of the show. He tweeted, "How I talked to my wife during this time is unacceptable. And there’s no excuses. Just a lot of growth that needs to happen." The star further praised his wife, saying, "I’m so proud of my wife @jasmineelliscpr for being vulnerable and sharing the challenges of marriage." Seeing Silas apologize for his behavior and claiming for growth in his relationship made fans wonder whether he joined Twitter only to clear his stained image.

Another called out Silas' "fragile ego," "10000%! this is wholly about Silas' fragile ego and Jasmine living up to her wifely expectations, ugh!"
