KSI took to Twitter to share the email Twitch sent to him regarding the auto-renewal of his partnership and the new Monetized Streamer Agreement

WATFORD, UNITED KINGDOM: Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji aka KSI is facing the termination of his 10-year-long partnership agreement with Twitch. He took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the official mail from Twitch and shared his thoughts on it. This action prompted an immediate outpour of reactions, with numerous individuals extending their support to him.

KSI is a prominent YouTuber, rapper, boxer and a co-founder and member of the Sidemen group. He is also the CEO of Misfits Boxing and the co-owner of Prime Hydration along with Logan Paul. With a substantial following of 24 million on YouTube, he gained undeniable popularity among various groups of people.

‘New Monetized Streamer Agreement’

Twitch is facing significant backlash, with people boycotting the service due to the proposal of Branded Content guidelines. In addition to this, Twitch is making changes to its partnership agreement with KSI and introducing a new "monetized streamer agreement,". This further intensified the negative feedback Twitch has been receiving.

In the tweet posted by KSI, he provided a screenshot of the email from Twitch which read, “With this email, Twitch is providing you with written notice that your Partner agreement will not auto-renew for the next renewal term and will terminate one year from the date of this email or earlier upon your acceptance of the new Monetized Streamer Agreement.” It further read, “Please be on the lookout for another email from the Twitch team which details information about the updated agreement and where to review and accept.” KSI captioned the photo, “Sad times.”

'They don’t know what they’re missing out on'

When KSI shared the post on Twitter, fans started pouring their thoughts. One Twitter user wrote, "They don’t know what they’re missing out on. I for one would be happy to sign you to Freeman Incorporated!" Another user wrote, "Sometimes people feel sad. It is okay to feel this way and it is important to talk to someone you trust if you need help." One fan said, "Well, at least there's always kick where they only take 5% of the revenue you make rather than taking 50% of it like twitch." Notably, several streamers have switched to Kick amid the Twitch controversy. Another fan, however, was surprised by KSI's post and said, "I'm not going to lie. I didn't know you did twitch streams. Have I been living under a rock "
