Ahead of his non-PPV fight with Andre August in Miami, Jake Paul shut off his critics with a video, showing them his confidence

CLEVELAND, OHIO: Jake Paul, the controversial social media star turned professional boxer, is currently preparing for his upcoming bout against Andre August scheduled for December 15.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Paul provided a glimpse into his intensive training regimen and addressed critics who question his aspirations of becoming a world champion in boxing.

Jake Paul takes training to the next level

Showing off his skipping rope skills, Jake Paul asserted, "Doubt me all you want. I’m coming for the world championship."

The bold statement has ignited a range of reactions from fans and skeptics alike. Observing Paul's apparent dedication and physical transformation for the upcoming fight, one fan praised him, saying, "This man is a pure definition of determination, discipline, and hard work for real."

However, some detractors were quick to reference Paul's past performance, specifically his loss against Tommy Fury, with comments like "Ain't happening" and "you can't even beat Fury."

Paul's foray into professional boxing has been met with mixed reviews. Another fan commented, "You've got this! Your determination and drive will take you straight to the top!"

One more stated, "Go for it Jake Take what your brother tries to steal all the time but never works for."

Jake Paul anticipates financial setback in non-PPV bout against Andre August

Jake Paul, fresh off a unanimous decision victory against Nate Diaz, is gearing up for his next bout against Andre August. However, the high-profile boxer has taken many by surprise by revealing that this upcoming fight might not be a financially lucrative venture for him.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, "The Problem Child" disclosed, "This is probably just a break-even fight for me. I probably won't even make money on it. Who knows what the outcome is."

He added, "It's $200,000 for a private jet, you know, to fly around just to get the team there and back. When you factor in all of these things, it's not about the money; it's really about focusing in, staying sharp, and the experience of challenging myself in the ring."

Paul and August's fight will take place at a relatively smaller venue, the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, with a limited capacity of around 3,000 spectators.

This shift to a non-pay-per-view (PPV) fight in a more intimate setting has led the YouTuber-turned-boxer to acknowledge that he may experience financial setbacks from the particular match.
