While the injury Joe Burrow suffered during training camp had Bengals fans worried, Ja'Marr Chase let everyone know there's no need to panic.

Whenever a player gets carted off the practice field, there has to be major concern. Especially when that player is the star quarterback.

Joe Burrow suffered an apparent non-contact injury on Thursday at Bengals training camp when he came up lame in the middle of a rollout. Worry from all corners of the internet followed.

While the team has only acknowledged that Burrow has a calf issue, wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase gave a much more hopeful assessment of the problem.

"[Burrow] gave me the nod. i wasn't really worried. I believe he's alright," Chase told reporters, per Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Inquirer.

Ja'Marr Chase thinks the Joe Burrow injury wasn't major

Obviously, Chase didn't have any more official information than head coach Zac Taylor but the positive assessment of Burrow's condition has got to be welcome to Bengals fans.

If Burrow has something as minor as a calf strain, he may miss the preseason but be in little danger of missing regular season action. That's got to be the hope right now.

Burrow doesn't need the preseason action to have a great season. The big prize is in the postseason, so the important thing is just getting him right in time for meaningful action.

In the meantime, backup quarterback Trevor Siemian will have more on his plate.

Of course, there remains the possibility that this is a more serious injury than Chase or anyone else is ready to admit yet. We won't know until a more official update is provided.

For now, it looks like danger was averted and the Bengals won't have to wait too long until their star quarterback is back in action.
