The rehab facility focuses on treating stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries, as well as other illnesses and injuries that impair movement

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is currently undergoing extensive physical therapy at a top physical rehabilitation facility in Chicago after suffering a mysterious health issue while filming Netflix's 'Back in Action' in Atlanta. Although the specifics of the 55-year-old star's condition are unknown, his presence at the medical facility suggests that he has been affected in some way.

According to an exclusive report from RadarOnline.com, Foxx is undergoing rigorous physical therapy to speed up his recuperation and let him return to work full-time. Reportedly, the 55-year-old Foxx has experienced mobility issues since the April 11 incident.

'They teach people how to walk again'

According to the insider, Foxx is having therapy at one of the best physical rehabilitation facilities in the nation. The rehabilitation facility focuses on treating stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries, as well as other illnesses and injuries that impair movement. This indicates that Foxx's road to rehabilitation is fraught with difficulties.

The source added: "They teach people how to walk again at this particular clinic. Jamie would not be at this clinic if he was not impaired in some way as a result of whatever happened to him. But fans should rest assured: Jamie is in the best of care at this type of clinic."

Jamie Foxx's ‘paralyzed and blind’ rumors

As previously reported, a seasoned Hollywood reporter claimed that while the Foxx family has remained mum about the specifics of his health, a blood clot in the actor's brain left him half blind and paralyzed. On Dr Drew Pinsky's podcast, veteran Hollywood reporter AJ Benza alleged that Foxx had a blood clot in his brain that led to "partial paralysis and blindness."

Benza further allegedly claimed that Foxx was coerced into getting the Covid-19 vaccine for the movie. It's vital to note that neither a Foxx representative nor any medical experts have backed up these statements.

Benza said at the time: "Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but the movie he was on, he was pressured to get it. The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind."

Both Benza and Dr Drew received harsh criticism for the online broadcast, with some accusing them of spreading a "wild anti-vax" conspiracy theory regarding the link between receiving the Covid-19 vaccination or its booster and the risk of stroke.

Jamie Foxx suffered from a medical emergency in April

Foxx's daughter Corinne posted on Instagram on April 12 to inform her followers that her father had experienced a medical emergency the day before but was now recovering. She responded on behalf of the Foxx family, "We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday."

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time," Corinne stated. The statement, however, gave no other information regarding the Oscar winner's health.
