LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx's fans can rest easy as the actor has finally made a public appearance. The 55-year-old has been mysteriously absent from all his public activities for some time, and this is the first time he has been seen in public in weeks.

Foxx was reportedly absent due to an unknown illness and had to be hospitalized. As a result, the actor also missed the premiere of his upcoming film 'They Cloned Tyrone.' His fellow actors have also been vocal about his absence recently.

Jamie Foxx's surprising public appearance

Foxx was spotted enjoying a boat ride after his sudden disappearance from all events. The boat was on the Chicago River where he was hanging out with several people, TMZ reports. He was sporting a simple black t-shirt and a pair of shades. Another boat passed right next to Foxx's and he waved back to the fans who were on it.

Foxx apparently looked healthy and seemed to be recovering well from his illness. He was reportedly accompanied by some members of the family who have been actively supporting him through his recovery journey. Foxx is also going through a rehabilitation period and his family members were seen visiting him multiple times.

The upcoming film 'They Cloned Tyrone' which stars Foxx alongside John Boyega and Teyonah Parris, started with its promotions and premiered recently. Of course, Foxx was not present for any of those despite being one of the main cast members. On one of the first red carpets, even Boyega was unaware of Foxx's state and health condition. But in the most recent interview, he along with Parris gave positive news about the 'Amazing Spiderman' actor.

"Yeah. He’s all good. He’s all good," Boyega shared, "So we’re just going to wait for him to reappear when he wants to. You know, privacy and all.” Parris added to his comment saying, "Giving people space to heal how they need to do."
