BURBANK, CALIFORNIA: It has been revealed that as the first season of Jennifer Hudson’s show is about to come to an end, several producers will not return for Season 2. A source, describing the situation as a “bloodbath," has revealed that multiple producers have been fired by Hudson, including one of her executive producers.

A spokesperson for the show told that “these claims are misconstrued,” and claimed that the firings that recently took place are part of the course. “It’s typical for a show to make adjustments after a debut season, however, nearly 95 percent of the staff and crew are being asked to return,” the rep said as per Page Six.

However, Hudson has reportedly retained her assistant, Walter Williams III, and her publicist, Lisa Kasteler, as exec producers. TV insiders have claimed it is very unusual that a publicist is running her show. After Ellen DeGeneres' popular talk show ended, Hudson reportedly inherited many of her producers for 'The Jennifer Hudson Show.'

A source said Hudson's plan to reset with new producers is similar to Sherri Shepherd's move, who inherited Wendy Williams’ staff. However, ahead of the second season of her show, she reportedly cut ties with them. It has been said that multiple producers have been submitting their resumes and trying to get jobs at Shepherd's show.

“Since a new season is approaching and we have been nominated for an Emmy we have been blasted with inquiries about job placements and new hires for open positions,” an insider said. Shepherd may now be having “her pick of the best" between the staffers recently fired by Hudson, as well as out-of-work producers who come from canceled shows hosted by Rachael Ray and Dr Oz.
