LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Jeopardy!' is getting interesting and the twists and turns are getting the show better and better. Today's story is all about one's bad decision being another's great victory. Raquel Matta, who was joined by Hannah Wilson and project manager Joe Forti as the three played quite a competitive game and headed into the final Jeopardy. Hannah was leading the game with $26K, followed by Raquel's $14,000 and the last in line was Joe with $5,800. The trio chose their secret wagers under the category of Actresses and Their Roles.

The host Mayim Bialik shot up the first question with, "She made her big screen debut as a teen named Laurie in a 1978 film, and in 2022 she played that role for the 7th & last time." Things took a turn when Joe was the first one to answer, and from then on the game took a drastic turn and baffled the audience.

Bewilderment wager

With Bialik's question, the first one to hit the buzzer was Joe who responded with the correct answer, Jamie Lee Curtis, wagering $5,798 to leave him at $11,598 for the game. Meanwhile Raquel, in second place during the game, also answered correctly but only wagered $8,000, leaving the copy editor from California at $22,400. Hannah on the other hand, however, answered incorrectly and wagered just $3,000, as she ended up with a grand total of $23,000 to beat out Raquel by only $600.

A questionable decision and a great victory

Raquel's debatable game decision might have stolen the spotlight, but Hannah's winning takes her to a board of winning streak of five straight games. The thing started after Monday night's episode, which left us all baffled after Hannah and her fellow competitors all lost out on building up more money due to a mispronunciation. Hannah and players Juveria Zaheer and Sami Casanova were all left dumbstruck because of this one question, "The author and former prisoner that said 'socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit.'" All three players were finding it quite difficult to pronounce the name of the person, Solzhenitsyn, and were tagged as incorrect.

'Jeopardy!' airs at 8/7c on NBC.
